Jeedle Terms of Use

Updated 16 June 2026

Welcome to Jeedle. These Terms of Use are a legal agreement between you and Jeedle, operated by Raghav Singhal, based in India.

Jeedle is a planning tool, not financial advice. It works out what’s safe to spend from numbers you enter — it never links your bank, holds your money, moves it, or recommends specific products. You own your data and can delete all of it, anytime. You must be 18 or older to use it.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Jeedle

To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Jeedle is designed for personal use by individuals in India, and its guidance, currency (₹), and cost assumptions are built around that context. By using the Service, you confirm you meet these requirements and that the information you provide about yourself is accurate.

2. What Jeedle is — and isn’t

Jeedle is an income-first personal money-planning tool. You enter a few numbers — your take-home pay, your bills and loans, your goals — and Jeedle calculates a “safe pace” to spend, tracks your goals, and answers everyday cash-flow questions.

Jeedle is not:

  • a bank, non-banking financial company (NBFC), wallet, or payment system — it never holds, transfers, deposits, or withdraws money;
  • an investment adviser, research analyst, or distributor registered with SEBI;
  • an entity regulated by the RBI, IRDAI, or any financial regulator; or
  • a provider of tax, accounting, or legal services.

Jeedle does not connect to your bank, read your transactions, or process payments. Everything it shows is computed from the figures you choose to enter.

3. Jeedle is not financial advice

The plans, paces, projections, insights, and answers Jeedle provides are for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and they are not a recommendation to take or avoid any particular course of action.

  • All figures are estimates based on the information you enter. If your inputs are wrong or incomplete, the output will be too.
  • Any timeline or savings projection assumes no investment return and is a simplified guide, not a guarantee of any outcome.
  • Jeedle does not recommend specific financial products — no mutual funds, stocks, deposits, insurance, schemes, or similar.
  • You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions. Before acting on anything you see in Jeedle, consider your full circumstances and consult a suitably qualified, registered professional — for example a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a chartered accountant, an IRDAI-registered insurance adviser, or a lawyer.

4. Using the AI companion

“Ask Jeedle” is an AI assistant powered by a third-party language model (see our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled). It’s designed to be a warm, helpful guide for everyday money questions, but you should understand its limits:

  • AI can be wrong, incomplete, or misunderstand you. Treat its replies as a starting point, not a final answer, and double-check anything important.
  • It gives general cash-flow guidance only and is built to refuse questions about specific investments, predicting markets or prices, guaranteed returns, or tax and legal specifics. Please don’t rely on it for those.
  • It can suggest changes to your own plan (for example, “set up this goal”), but nothing changes until you review and save it yourself. Jeedle never moves money or acts on your behalf.
  • Don’t use the companion for emergencies or crises. For medical, legal, or safety matters, contact a qualified professional or the appropriate helpline.

5. Your account

You sign in with Google; there’s no separate password to manage. You’re responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure, and for activity that happens under your Jeedle account. Let us know promptly at support@jeedle.com if you think your account has been accessed without your permission. You agree that the information you enter is your own and is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

6. Acceptable use

Please use Jeedle only for its intended, lawful purpose — planning your own money. You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, or to break any applicable law or regulation;
  • try to access another user’s account or data, or probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without permission;
  • copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models, except to the extent the law allows;
  • overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, or bypass rate limits or security measures;
  • misuse the AI companion — for example, attempting to make it ignore its safety boundaries, generate harmful content, or produce advice it is designed not to give; or
  • use the Service to build a competing product, or resell or commercially exploit it, without our written permission.

We may limit, suspend, or end access for anyone who breaks these rules or puts the Service or other users at risk.

7. Your data and content

The information you put into Jeedle — your numbers, your goals, your messages — belongs to you. We don’t claim ownership of it. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit that information solely to operate the Service for you, including sending the relevant context to our AI provider when you use the companion. How we collect, use, protect, and let you delete your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You can permanently erase your data at any time from within the app.

8. Our intellectual property

The Jeedle app, website, name, logo, design, copy, and the software behind them are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal money planning, in line with these Terms. We don’t grant you any other rights — please don’t use the Jeedle name or branding without our permission.

9. Early access and availability

Jeedle is offered on an early-access / beta basis. This means features may change, appear, or disappear; the Service may have bugs; and it may be unavailable at times (for example, our servers may sleep when idle and take a moment to wake). We don’t promise any particular uptime, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We’ll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that its calculations, projections, or AI responses will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation. Any reliance you place on the Service is at your own risk, and you remain responsible for your own financial decisions.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jeedle and the people who build it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any financial decision you make based on it. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid us to use the Service in the 12 months before the claim (which, during free early access, is nil) or ₹1,000. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jeedle and its operators from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another person.

13. Termination

You can stop using Jeedle at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and data from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as the disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing-law sections — will continue to apply.

14. Changes to these terms

As Jeedle grows, we may update these Terms. When we make changes, we’ll update the “Updated” date above, and we’ll give you a more visible notice for significant changes. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. You agree that the courts at Bengaluru, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service, subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
